 How to make a Palm Cross

To turn your Palm Leaf into a Palm Cross simply follow these instuctions

 


1. Trim end of palm leaf

2. Split palm leaf in two

3. Place thick ends of palm leaf at an angle of 90' with approx 5cm overlap
3. Place thick ends of palm leaf at an angle of 90' with approx 5cm overlap

4. Fold palm leaf 'a' over palm lead 'b'  twice
4. Fold palm leaf 'a' over palm lead 'b' twice

5. Fold palm leaf 'b' over palm leaf 'a' once
5. Fold palm leaf 'b' over palm leaf 'a' once

6. Pass thin end of palm leaf 'b' through the loop formed by palm leaf 'a'
6. Pass thin end of palm leaf 'b' through the loop formed by palm leaf 'a'

7. Pull palm leaf 'b' tight to form secure L shape
7. Pull palm leaf 'b' tight to form secure L shape

8. Pass thin end of palm leaf 'b' through loop once again
8. Pass thin end of palm leaf 'b' through loop once again

9. This will form one arm of the cross

10. Pass thin end of palm 'b' once again through loop to create 2nd arm of the cross
10. Pass thin end of palm 'b' once again through loop to create 2nd arm of the cross

11. Pass thin end of palm leaf 'a' through loop to form top part of the cross
11. Pass thin end of palm leaf 'a' through loop to form top part of the cross

12. Pull thin end of palm leaf 'a' until cross proportions are correct
12. Pull thin end of palm leaf 'a' until cross proportions are correct
