Useful Information
The church can seat approximately 200 people and there is a small play area for young children at the back of the church.
We are happy for you to have a video recording made of your wedding but still photography is not allowed during the service until after the signing of the register.
S Giles does not have a church choir to sing at your wedding but hymns and other music can be arranged with our organist, or perhaps you know a local group or vocalist who can sing at your wedding. You may also have a favourite CD track that you would like played during the service or signing of the registers. There is of course, no requirement to have hymns or music if you don't want them.
If you are having your own Order of Service printed it would helpful if the proof copy could be shown to Fr Bruce BEFORE the final copies are printed. We can produce an order of serivce for you at a cost of £50 per 100.
Basic church flowers, where possible, will usually be ivory and green. Aisle flowers can be supplied at an additional cost of £100.
Banns are read at our 10.30am Mass on the first three Sundays of the month preceeding your wedding and it is always nice to welcome couples to these services.
If one of you lives in another parish, you will also need to have your Banns read there as well. Please contact the priest at the other church well in advance. (Please use the Parish Finder about to locate your Parish Church).
Confetti may of course be thrown by your guests but bio degradable products, rice or rose petal are better for the birds and the environment.
The cost of a wedding at S Giles is £610 which includes the non-refundable deposit of £50 paid at the time of booking, (Please not that legal fees do increase annually). Additional fees are charged for aisle flowers, orders of service and the church bells if required.
Our garden offers a wonderful back drop for your wedding photographs and S Giles Centre is now available for Wedding Reception Bookings (a full bar is also available charging club prices).
