Women's Fellowship Prayer

O God our Father, whose blessed Son, Jesus Christ,

lived in an earthly home at Nazareth,

be with us in our homes and fill them with

Thy joy and peace.

In all our dealings with our fellows

help us to do only such things as be good

and at all times to show forth the spirit of courtesy and goodwill,

for the sake of Jesus Christ our Saviour and Redeemer.   Amen

In April 1954, under the presidency of Lillian Whittaker, the wife of Rev'd Alan Whittaker, the then Vicar of S Giles, the Mother's Union was renamed The Women's Fellowship. It was thought the new title would attract ladies of any age, mothers, spinsters, etc. It did and under Lillian's guidance the Women's Fellowship flourished from a mere 23 members to 120.

The officers and committee members are all communicant members of S Giles. The Women's Fellowship has always been a much vauled and appreciated part of church life at S Giles, helping out at many church and social events, raising money from coffee mornings, garden parties, bring and buys, and jumble sales etc. Providing funds to support the work and mission of the Church in Aintree, while uniting us all in fellowship.

The Women's Fellowship meet in S Giles Centre on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 2pm, from September to April. Speakers are invited and there are disscussions covering a variety of subjects.

We enjoy daytrips which are well supported by both members and friends, as are the theatre visits.

New members are always very welcome. Why not come and join us.
